Welcome message to new students
London East Bank College is situated in the heart of the City of London in the ancient area of Aldgate just a few hundred yards from the world famous Lloyds’ international insurance market.
It is only fitting therefore that at London East Bank College we are committed to providing a standard of excellence in academic and vocational education for future legal, business, accounting, marketing, tourism and hospitality and I.T. professionals.
We welcome and benefit from having students from all over the world and we want our students to become an important and positive asset to their communities.
We place an important emphasis on English speaking and writing at the start of all our academic programmes and focus heavily on professional ethics.
Whether in court or in the business community, with ever increasing globalisation, personal integrity is becoming an ever rarer and increasingly valuable asset.
We want all our students to leave our College with the ability to speak and write English in their professional capacity and to confidently deal with the ethical challenges in their careers.
We offer a huge range of extracurricular activities which are important to your professional development and can greatly enhance your professional CV.
We give you the opportunity to participate in departmental journals, moots, debates, academic discussions and talks with guest speakers. We visit courts, professional institutions, the Houses of Parliament and make day trips outside of London to places of historic interest such as the birth place of William Shakespeare (now the home of the Royal Shakespeare Company) Stratford on Avon.
We are a small community and our tutors and students get to know each other quickly giving London East Bank College a supportive, relaxed and friendly environment in which to learn.
All we ask from our students is a genuine commitment to your studies and a willingness to learn. Regular attendance to classes is mandatory and it is expected that you will make regular personal contributions in class.
You can get as much out of London East Bank College as you are prepared to put in.
I hope I will see you on campus soon,
kind regards,
Ben Balliger
