Course Structure and Syllabus


Students will be required to make a serious attempt in the examination for 12 units on the Standard Route of the degree. Students may take the Foundation and Further units in any order, provided you satisfy any prerequisites (units which they must have already passed). Prerequisites are shown in italic text in brackets. Most students, however, would normally take the Foundation units first because, as their name suggests, they are the ‘building blocks' – the foundation – for the units that follow.

Progression Route:

ICM Advanced Diploma Awards - enable the student to apply for direct entry into the final year of a relevant 3 year degree programme at the universities in North America, the UK, the Republic of Ireland, Western Europe, the Far East, South East Asia and Australasia.

This Graduate Diploma (NQF Level 6) has been developed in conjunction with the Diploma, Higher Diploma and Professional Diploma culminating in the achievement of a Graduate Diploma in Sales & Marketing Management. The qualification taken in this way should be studied over a recommended course of 2-years duration (exemptions may influence this.) The course may also be offered over a longer period if necessary.

Students who have successfully completed London Centre of Marketing's Advanced Diploma in Marketing Management have guaranteed direct entry on to the MA/MSc. Work Based Studies (Marketing) from Middlesex University (UK) whilst working full time in your own country. 

The programme can be delivered in any country and takes approximately three semesters (eighteen months) to complete. Students must have a minimum of five years work experience with significant decision making responsibility. Work Based Studies recognizes and creates University Level learning in the work place, enabling learning to take place-and be centred on-the working environment, leading to individual and organisational performance improvement.

Programme Objectives:

To provide prospective Business and Management students with a body of knowledge which will:
  • Increase and broaden their employment opportunities within a wide range of commercial sectors at senior management level
  • Enable them to make significant contributions in the area of strategic management and problem solving
  • Enable them to integrate their knowledge gained on the course and contribute to senior level decision making

Recommended Course Duration:

This qualification will enable up to 120 credits to be used as exemptions on appropriate Masters courses.
