In all modern societies the legal profession stands out as more prestigious than other professions do. The completion of a legal education programme is a springboard to many careers and pursuits. Legal knowledge and education is extremely useful to one whether or not he/she practices as a professional lawyer.
Admissions Requirement:
Either passes in:
two subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level + at least three further subjects at GCSE or GCE ‘O’ Level (at not less than grade C or a ‘pass’ if taken prior to 1975)
or
three subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level + one further subject at GCSE or GCE ‘O’ Level (at not less than grade C)
or
two subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level + two further subjects at ‘AS’ Level
or
an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard of the above.
Progression Opportunities:
LLB graduates from University of London can go into professional practice (after fulfilling the required legal norms) or apply for LLM if they want to further their education. LLB is the important foundation for those intending to practise law as solicitors and barristers.
Flexibility:
Students can enrol in any of the three sessions allowing them flexibility to finish their academic year within one year of the commencement irrespective of the session start date.
