Bangladesh Law Minister visits LEBC

Bangladesh Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs , Barrister Shafique Ahmed, visits London East Bank College on 24 July. Mr. Ahmed was accompanied by his wife and renowned woman leader Mrs. Mafuza Khanom and senior community leaders from across the UK. The delegation was greeted by LEBC Director Prashanta B Barua. During visit, Mr. Ahmed expressed his pleasure to see LEBC facilities for students and staff and congratulated the team for the success it achieved in past years. The minister who himself is a leading lawyer in Bangladesh Supreme Court and two times President of Supreme Court Bar Association praised LEBC students and staff who recently achieved outstanding results in BCS, OTHM and Law examinations. Mr. Ahmed further praised LEBC library saying, ‘ I am very pleased to see the stock of law books and Constitutions of the nations of the world, very soon LEBC stock will find latest versions of Bangladesh Constitution as the Charter is now in press.’ Later he met London based community workers in LEBC hall room.
