 Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. Dipu Moni visits LEBC
 
London East Bank College proudly announces that Her Excellency Dr. Dipu Moni, the foreign minister of Bangladesh made a visit at college premises on 27 April. Dr. Moni who is an old friend of LEBC and made students privileged as guest of honour in induction programme in September 2008 commands a huge popularity among Bangladeshi students at LEBC. The former Johns Hopkins graduate Dr. Dipu Moni who is also the first female minister in Bangladesh foreign office was greeted by Director of the College Mr. P B Barua, Head of Hospitality Department Mr. A B Dhar, Assistant Registrars Tashid Chowdhury & Brett Cuming, Compliance officer Clive H Merrifield and Student Services Officer Mr. Mahbubul Haque.

The foreign Minister is a qualified physician and draws upon advanced qualifications in Public Health and Law and is an Advocate of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Educated at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, Dhaka Medical College, the country's premier Medical School, and at the University of London, Dipu Moni has undertaken specialized courses at Johns Hopkins and a course at Harvard on Negotiations and Conflict Resolution. She is considered as a bright young politician who played an outstanding role in country’s democratic movements. During her visit Foreign Minister refreshed her memory with college The students and staff at London East Bank College marked FM’s visit as memorable for the institution.
